Kick and Burn started out in January 2008, teaching in local community centres, church halls, etc... I wanted to offer good value for money classes that would reach out to all levels of fitness.
Being a mother of 3 young children I find exercise a great stress reliever! After having my first children (twins) in 2001 my weight rocketed and I was heading towards a size 16, being 5ft 2in I wasn't the ideal weight or size.
So biting the bullet after 2 years of still having the 'baby fat' and entering an exercise class at the local leisure centre I got the bug! When I started to see results it made me more determined to keep going, I managed to reduce my dress size to size 8 and have stayed there ever since, despite having a third child in that time.
I went onto maternity leave in 2006 and decided I would study my theory to qualify for a Level 2 fitness instructor. In October 2008 I qualified in fitness kickboxing, January 2009 I qualified in fitness pilates and then April 2009 to teach Hula, each class has it's own individual qualities and I love being able to teach a whole range. My most recent venture is Zumba, which is even more addictive than any other exercise class I've ever known!
My biggest acheivements are from when students come to class and start to make a difference in their lives, whether they came initially to get fit, lose weight, tone or just for fun I love it when they tell me they've acheived their goals or I can see how their efforts are paying off.
