Fitness Pilates programme was created by the well respected fitness expert, Rachel Holmes, founder of Choreography To Go. Her aim was to create a group of exercises based on pure Pilates moves that fit in with day to day activities.
Each class is designed for beginners with options / progressions for the more advanced students which can be incorporated. This means you can stay at the base level for as long as you want to, or if you feel you need to benefit more then options are available for you to do so. It is designed to be taught at many different levels to suit all age ranges and abilities.
Due to the class not being a 'Pure' Pilates based class I would advise a doctors approval if you suffer from back problems before attending as it is aimed at fitness rather than remedial.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING TO CLASS?
Comfortable sports wear with possibly a light outer clothing due it being a slow moving class. A small towel to roll up and rest your head on when we do floor based exercises is advisable for those with lower back problems or just for extra comfort.
Mats are provided, but you can bring your own if you wish.
Trainers / footwear not required due to the class being carried out either wearing socks or barefoot depending on your preference.
WHAT BENEFITS WILL I GET OUT OF FITNESS PILATES?
Your body with become more flexible, strengthening your lower back at the same time as toning your stomach and other areas of your body. Other benefits are relaxation, better concentration skills, improved postural alignment and greater physical fitness.
