    Zumba classes run 4 days a week. I would recommend booking, due to the popularity of this class to ensure you have a place.

    Each class lasts between 45 mins and one hour, depending on intensity.

    You will need to bring water (lots!) and a towel with you.

    On a personal note...

    I could go on about the key benefits to Zumba, abs, legs, bums and upper body workout that strengthens and tones, whilst burning between 300-900 calories per hour...but my main description of Zumba is it's just amazingly good fun.

    I did a nine hour Zumba instructor course, 6 hours of which was hands on dance moves, which I can tell you was exhausting, fun, but exhausting! I got in the car for the 2 1/2 hour drive back home, put the CD in given on the course so I could familiarise myself with the music, so I can then choreograph moves to it etc...

    I couldn't stop dancing, even after 6 hours of it. I was gyrating my hips whilst driving up the A34, tapping my toes up the M40 and shimmying my shoulders on the M42...okay, probably not the safest form of driving and I must have looked like some deranged woman if you had been driving past but I just couldn't stop!!!!!

    The dance moves are so lively, the music so addictive, and this is coming from someone that was weaned on the likes of Whitesnake, Iron Maiden and is a complete, through to the bone, heavy metal rock chick... At the age of 30 something I've discovered a new musical love..., Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia (I'd never even heard of Cumbia until that day!) I felt like I'd just got in from a night out in Acapulco.

    I got home 2 1/2 hours later, went in, kissed my husband, who had been looking after the kids all the time I was away on the course, slapped the CD into the home stereo and started all over again...finally I collapsed into bed an hour later but still completely buzzing...

    Anyway, as I said I could have gone through the benefits, but one class and you'll be hooked! Your body will tell which bits have worked....but if you do want the technical stuff, scroll up.
